The Amazing Spider-Man has spun its way to the top of the US box office chart, taking $65m (£42m) in its opening weekend. That takes the superhero movie reboot's earnings in its first six days to £90m in the US alone. Starring British actor Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as his girlfriend Gwen Stacy, the movie re-starts the story of Marvel comic book hero Spider-Man five years after Spider-Man 3 starring Tobey Maguire. So now the big question is: What will Batman bring in? Will the "Dark Knight Rises" surpass the more than $200-million domestic opening "The Avengers" had when it debuted May 4 to become the biggest box-office opening of all time?
