Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their third child, it has been announced.
The Duchess, 35, is once again suffering severe morning sickness, like with her previous two pregnancies, and has been forced to cancel a royal engagement for medical treatment at home.
The announcement comes just as Prince George, four, gets ready to start school.
A statement from Kensington Palace said: "Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
.
"As with her previous two pregnancies, the Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum.
"Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children's Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace."
The royal family also had to announce Kate's two previous pregnancies earlier than planned after her severe morning sickness led to hospital stays and event cancellations.
