Let's say you were Maya Diab. And let's say someone came-up to you and said, "What would you say if your daughter was gay?"
The lights come down. This is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire? situation in which you have several choices, some right ("None of your business"; "I'd support her right to be anything"; "It's her life") and some incorrect. And Diab, despite being a vocal champion of LGBT+ rights in the Middle East, rides the rainbow to the far side of wrong.
"I'd check for the cause," said Diab, "and if it's hormonal and just God's will, then that's what it is. "But," added Diab, the champion of LGBT+ rights in the Middle East, "God spare me from that moment."
Then in a moment that can only be described as "misguided" (or insane), she added, in reference to her pre-pubescent, seven year old daughter: “If the cause was something else, like rape, I’d try natural solutions.”
Which is an answer so profoundly bad the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? host would stop, the lights would come up, everybody would quietly leave, and they’d cancel the show forever.
