During these tough times, more and more initiatives to spread love and peace are needed, especially in Lebanon. A new project, featured by CNN News,was implemented in Tripoli to reflect peace. Buildings' roofs were painted in a specific design to create the word Salam - the Arabic word for peace. 85 roofs in Bab - Al - Tebbeneh and Jabal Mohsen are now painted in green. The Two Lebanese twin brothers Mohamad and Omar Kabbani, spent 3 years planning for this project! They specifically chose these two neighborhoods due to their history of sectarian violence. They say the word salam reflects tolerance, enlightenment and prosperity - qualities they hope would be more applicable in Lebanon!
