Hollywood rocked on Tuesday when guitarist Slash received a star on the Walk of Fame, which seemed fitting for the musician who first won fans in the nightclubs along Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip.
The British-American musician said the award was particularly fitting because he went to school nearby, and spent his formative years on Hollywood Boulevard dreaming of becoming a rock star like Led Zeppelin.
his family were not the only ones on hand to help Slash, real name Saul Hudson, celebrate the prestigious honour; The 46-year-old’s close friend Charlie Sheen also arrived at the induction ceremony to deliver a speech about Slash.
