13 Celebrities Banned From Other Countries

    23 april 2018

Some of these are very surprising.

If you thought the life of a celebrity was all glamorous parties and fun nights out, you'd be half right—until it gets to the countries that they're actually banned from. In which case? It's immigration control and airport security, instead.

    1. Chris Brown, Great Britain

Along with Canada and Australia, Great Britain temporarily denied Chris Brown entry to the country in 2011 as a result of his abuse against former girlfriend Rihanna. He was due to appear in a Michael Jackson tribute show.

    2. Paris Hilton, Japan

    Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton's prior drug charges in Las Vegas means she was banned from entering Japan due to her criminal record. Oops.

    3. Lily Allen, USA

Allen had her American working visa revoked and was banned from the country in 2007 after she was arrested in England that same year on charges of assault from beating up a photographer.

    4. Miley Cyrus, China

    5. The Beatles, The Philippines

The Beatles were barred from The Philippines after declining the offer to attend a breakfast reception at the Presidential Palace with The First Lady Imelda Marcos. They were also mobbed and attacked as they tried to board their plane out of the country.

    6. Beyonce, Malaysia

Malaysia banned Beyonce from ever touring, performing, or even crossing their borders due to their strict Muslim leadership, which deemed Queen B too provocative for their country.

    7. Akon, Sri Lanka

    8. Snoop Dogg, Norway

While he may not be banned forever, Snoop Dogg was banned from entering Norway for two years after he was caught at the airport with marijuana in his possession.

    9. Brad Pitt, China

Pitt was banned from China for over 15 years due to his role in Seven Years in Tibet, a film that the government was particularly offended by due to their pro-Tibet views.

    10. Sacha Baron Cohen, Kazakstan

Unsurprisingly, Cohen was initially banned from Kazakstan due to the offensive and politically incorrect way in which he portrayed the country. Later, the ban was lifted when the government presumably "saw the funny side."

    11. Alec Baldwin, The Philippines

After he made a very inappropriate joke about sex trafficking in relation to the country back in 2009, he was forbidden from ever entering the country—despite registering an apology saying: "I apologize for the perceived insensitivity of that remark."

    12. Boy George, USA

He was denied a visa in 2008 by U.S. immigration officials while facing trial in the U.K. in November of that year for the assault and false imprisonment of a male escort. He was later allowed back into the country in 2014.

    13. 50 Cent, Canada

50 Cent was banned from Canada for his previous criminal record and alleged promotion of gun violence, with Toronto MP Dan McTeague preventing the rapper from performing in 2005 by saying: "I don't think people in Toronto or any urban center needs or want to hear Mr. Jackson's message right now."
