The summer is in full swing and the best way to beat the heat is to hit the beach. However, thanks to the lack of clean water, and therefore fewer resorts that are actually worth visiting, you will be greeted by people from all walks of life. These are some of the people you'll cross paths with while trying to get your tan on.
The Mushy Couple
The pools will be packed with couples that have nothing better to do than hug up on each other in an already-crowded pool. We seriously hope you don't have any issues with PDA because everywhere you turn you'll find people exchanging emotions from romance to bickering.
The Wannabe Supermodel
She comes to the beach thinking she will turn heads and she definitely will whether it's out of envy or judgmental glares. You'll find her wearing heals, hats three times her head size, and vibrant lipstick to complete her full face of makeup.
That One Rare Person Swimming
As all the pools and beach resorts in Lebanon have become a scene of socialites and party animals, it's extremely rare to find anyone swimming between the tan partygoers downing their drinks and taking selfies. If you're lucky enough you might find one person swimming looking like an oddball but you may be in astonishment like the rest of us considering swimming is a thing of the past.
The Hotshot
He's either dancing, drunk, or both and it's not unlikely that you'll find him smooching up on several girls within the hour. If guys like him are lucky enough to be granted entrance, you'll find them super tan and muscular, with a drink in one hand and a smoke in the other. If he's not sweet-talking his way into getting a phone number or a date from the girl next to him in the pool, he's most probably eying multiple others across the pool.
Influencer/Lifestyle Blogger
When you pass by what looks like a full on photo shoot on chaise longues surrounded by extra robes, tops, tubes of makeup, several hats, and the hottest new tanning oil, you've found the group of influencers and bloggers. They're only there for a couple hundred pictures, a bottle or two of Rosé, an Instagram story, a darker tan, and possibly a sunset shot.
